If you gather different technologies to your planets, you will be able
to build many different types of ships.
The ship types:
-
Bulldog Firebases - An armoured Firebase. These satellites are difficult to destroy,
while still wielding powerful weapons of their own.
-
Bulldog Satellites - Armoured satellites. Bulldog Satellites a ideal for delaying an
enemy fleet until reinforcements can arrive.
-
Bulldog Scouts - Armoured Scout. Bulldog Scouts serve well as backup defensive
ships when not exploring.
-
Bulldogs - Armoured fighters. The Bulldogs have twice as much armour as a
standard ship, making them much more difficult to destroy.
-
Cavaliers - Armoured Lancers. A Cavalier has all the firepower of a Lancer
and all the tenacity of a Bulldog.
-
Corvettes - A fast ship. Corvettes traverse hyperspace links much more
quickly than ordinary ships.
-
Firebases - High-power attack satellites. These satellites have
twice the attack power of an ordinary ship, but can only defend their
home systems.
-
Flankers - Fast Lancers. Flankers combine the power of a Lancer with the
speed of a Corvette.
-
Hyperspace Engineers - Ships capable of speeding the decay of hyperspace links. The
more of these ships working on a particular link, the faster it will
decay.
-
Lancers - Offensive attack ships. A Lancer has twice the firepower of a
standard ship, but the same amount of armour.
-
Library Ships - Ships capable of teaching planets about new technologies. These
ships are very expensive, so be sure to keep them away from battle!
-
Satellites - Planetary defense satellites. Satellites fight just as well as
ordinary ships, but cannot traverse hyperspace links or explore.
-
Scouts - Hyperspace exploration specialty ship. Scout ships have been
oufitted with the finest hyperspace sensors, and tend to find shorter
and stronger links than other ship types.
-
Ships - The mainstay of your empire's armada. They are cheap and easy to
make, but do not have any particularly special uses.
-
Traders - Cargo vessel. Traders can improve planetary production by
facilitating trade between empires, but they have no place in a
battle.
